wood burning stoves

Wood Stoves

If you are looking to add a stove to you home you have a few choices. Wood will provide you with the most heat. Also, wood is generally available in any area and not too expensive. Wood stoves may need more refueling than coal, gas or pellet stoves. You can expect a wood stove to burn for maybe 6 hours on its lowest setting. If you go with the option of installing a wood stove, you will need to vent through a chimney. You have a couple of installation options with a wood stove chimney. You can install a masonry chimney or use a Class A chimney, which will be a little less expensive than a masonry chimney. If you are a person that likes projects, you may be able to install a Class A chimney yourself, or you can always leave it to the professionals.
